- This Old World scorpion is distributed in Tunisia, the North of Algeria and the West of Libya, as well as into southern Egypt.
- Adult size is 52 mm (2.05") for males and 55 mm (2.165") for females.
- General coloration yellowish to slightly reddish-yellow without any spots.
- Pectinal tooth count, observed in 84 males and 114 females from Central and South Tunisia, showed the following numbers: Males 27 - 31. Females 21 - 25.
