- This Old World scorpion is from Namibia.
- Possibly able to spray venom. Venom has been proven to be antibacterial and anti fungal; however it directly interferes with cellular functions of the human innate immune system; currently in research for medical uses.
-HOT- Higher venom levels.
- The adult size is 4.5" for males and more than 5" for females.
- The color of the very dark, maroon body is almost black with the tergites a little more grey. The pedipalps are mahogany to chocolate, the legs are clearer, from yellow ocher to orange.
- The pectinal tooth count is 38-45 in females and 44-52 in males.
