- Also known as Red Island Birdeater.
- This New World Opportunistic Burrower is from the Island of Hispaniola (Haiti &  Dominican Republic), as well as islands near Honduras.
- The adult size is between  7" - 9".
- As juveniles and adults, these guys have some attitude!  They are defensive and won't hesitate to throw a threat pose.  Even though they are a New World species, they're really not for beginners.
