- Also known as the Thailand Black. Previously known as Haplopelma minax.
- This Old World Obligate Burrower is found in Thailand and Myanmar.
- The adult size is right around 5".
- It's Old World, and it's a burrower - that should give you a hint that it's for experienced keepers. They will spend most time in the burrows, but if they are cornered, you'll not only see a threat pose, but chances are it will try to bite.
- They have jet black carapaces, abdomens and legs. C. minax are black over their entire body, although before a molt, a grey stripe appears down the abdomen. Their legs are long and thick, despite their small size (about 5 inches).
