- This New World scorpion is known only from the Santa Rita Mountains of Arizona, USA.
- The adult size is 0.83" - 1.08".
- Color is medium to dark brown, lighter on the legs and telson with underlying mottling on carapace, mesosoma, and pedipalps.
- Pectine count is ♂ 15 - 16; ♀ 12 - 14.
- This species is named in honor of Matthew R. Graham for his contributions to scorpion systematics and biogeography. Matt was the first to recognize the importance of the isolated mountain ranges of southern Arizona and New Mexico which formed insular “sky island” habitats for scorpion species.
