- This New World Scorpion is from the USA (mountains of southern Arizona, southern New Mexico, western Texas).
- The Adult size is 1" - 1.4".
- Adult colors are quite uniform tan to dark reddish brown, with all carinae darker.
- Pectine count is ♂ 10 - 11; ♀ 9 - 10. Since there is overlap in the pectine count, we are selling these as "unsexed".
- Gertsch and Soleglad (1972) named this species "for the Apache Indians who lived in and ranged widely throughout the area where this species occurs".
- They were formally known as Vaejovis apacheanus.
