- They are large & shaggy - they have long red hairs covering their body.
- As with most Nhandu's, they will burrow as spiderlings and are quite skittish as adults. They do possess urticating hairs, which are said to be more irritating than most. However, they are much more likely to flee and hide then to throw a threat pose.
