- This Old World Arboreal Tarantula is from the mountain forests of Sri Lanka. While there are reports of them being found in some islands of India, they are now listed on the Endangered Species Act due to the fact that the scientific establishment has yet to prove they are in India (in addition to Sri Lanka).
