- This Old World scorpion is from Morocco and the Atlas Mountains in Algeria, in Northern Africa.
- They live in the palm trees, in walls, and between stones. They never dig any burrows.
- The Pectine Tooth Count is ♂ 32 - 38; ♀ 26 - 32. Long pectines without a gap between them is a male. Smaller pectines with a larger gap between them is a female.
- They are very slow growers, but are quite hardy.
