- This New World Obligate Burrower is known from Zapata, Starr, and Hidalgo Counties in southern-most Texas; also Tamaulipas, Mexico.
- Adult size is 1.6" - 2".
- The coloring is basically brown with variable dark brown marbling.
- The pectine count is ♂ 12 - 14; ♀ 9 - 11.
- Females differ from males as follows. Carapace and tergites smooth; pedipalps and metasoma without reticulate costate pattern.
