- Damon diadema are found along the Eastern coast of Africa in Tanzania.
- In the wild they are often found just inside the mouth of caves, and they are often found living communally.
- The body length is usually 1" - 2", but if you include the span of the whips, they have been reported as large as 23 inches.
- They are nocturnal in nature, and REQUIRE vertical surfaces to successfully molt.  They will continue to molt throughout their lives, and there is no "ultimate molt" for males.
