- Also called a Malaysian/Malay Blue Femur & Singapore Violet.
- This Old World Arboreal is from Singapore, Riau Islands in Indonesia and the southern states of Peninsular Malaysia.
- Slings are extremely shy & create deep elaborate burrows or tube webs in the corner of the tank. Once they reach about 4" in legspan, their arboreal nature will be more evident and they will be out of their burrows, often climbing around the tank. This will be a good time to transfer it to an arboreal enclosure.
- Their coloring is a vibrant royal purple with long red hairs and the trademark tiger stripes on the abdomen.
