- Also known as Tanzanian Black & Olive Baboon.
- This Old World Arboreal is known only from mountains near Arusha, Northern Tanzania.
- As adults, these CAN be kept as burrowers, as that is how they have been kept in captivity for years. However, they are actually an arboreal species, and in the wild they are found living arboreal under peeling tree bark.
- They can stridulate and are an extensive webber.
- Adult size is right around 5".
- This is the first African and the second known tarantula species which lacks spermathecae.
