- Also known as Hadrurus arizonensis pallidus.
- These are NOT the usual Hadrurus arizonensis (Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion). The H. pallidus is a subspecies of H. arizonensis, are much rarer and are paler in color.
- These scorpions are lighter in coloration and quite a bit larger that similar Hadrurus species such as H. arizonensis or H. spadix.
- As a desert scorpion, they like higher temperatures and lower humidity, but they do like deeper substrate (we mix sand with coco fiber).
- This is the largest species of Scorpion in North America. Our specimens range from 3" to 4.5".
- For the Pectinal Tooth Count, I've read two different numbers; M = 32-37 / F=24-31 & M = 32-39 / F = 28-34
