- This New World Terrestrial is from Paraguay and Argentina.
- Tends to be one of the more docile and calm species.
- Adult size is 7" - 8".
- When we're asked about "beginner species", this is one that we recommend to those that are looking for an easy tarantula that is on the larger size.
- As slings, they can be a bit skittish and will burrow (like most slings) and hide when startled.
- As they get a little larger, they are fearless, and will ALWAYS be willing to eat. However, we've noticed that they just don't know when to STOP eating, so we only feed them based on the size of their abdomens, and we're very careful not to overfeed them.
- Has long light-colored hairs all over its body and gold stripes on its legs, particularly at the "knees". It has long pinkish hairs and a bulky, robust appearance. As they grow in size the gold knees are more pronounced.
- The final picture is to give you an idea of the adult coloring.
