- Also known as Huahini Birdeater, Thai Red, Asian Fawn, Bird Spider, Hauhini Bird Spider, and Hauhini Bird Eater.
- This Old World species is from Malaysia & Thailand.
- They are known as a terrestrial tarantula, but also as an opportunistic burrower.  There are also some reports of them living arboreal!  Therefore, they are known as a very adaptable tarantula.
- Skittish and Defensive – very fast and quite nervous; it will attempt to run away first but will defend it’s personal space if cornered.
- They are also extensive webbers, and will quickly adapt it’s enclosure to it’s preferred living conditions.
