- This New World arboreal tarantula is from French Guiana & Brazil.
- Tapinauchenius are FAST moving as spiderlings (THE fastest tarantula, in our experience), and have a tendency to jump. As they mature, they become less skittish. If startled, it will make a short sprint. This is not a defensive tarantula, and it is doesn't have urticating hairs.
- The adults size is 4.5" - 5".
- The key to the husbandry success of this species is ventilation and a available water source. The Tapinauchenius Genus is less delicate than the Avicularia Genus as spiderlings and easy to care for. They require less humidity than the Avicularia.
