- Also known as the Brazilian Red, Black and Red, Brazilian Striped, & White Striped Birdeater.
- This New World Terrestrial is from Brazil.
- Beautifully colored with striped legs, a light carapace, and  reddish hairs on the opisthosoma.
- Adult size is 7".
- As slings they will burrow.  As adults they are skittish, and will kick hairs, but they are more likely to hide than show defensive tendencies.
