- Also known as the Burmese Blue.
- This Old World burrower is from the tropical Forests of Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
- Shy, defensive, and unpredictable. They seem sedate one moment, then go violently nuts the next. They will bite repeatedly if annoyed and can't retreat to their burrow. Like most terrestrial Asian species, they like much privacy and get defensive if their space is intruded upon.
- The adult size is 4" - 5.5".
- Legs that appear black under certain lighting and then seem to be a deep metallic blue at another angle. Their abdomens are grayish and they have gray to coffee-colored carapaces. Their undersides are black.
