- Also known as Trinidad Mahogany Brown , Purple Treespider, & Trinidad Velvet Olive.
- This New World arboreal tarantula is from Suriname & Trinidad.
- Tapinauchenius are FAST moving as spiderlings (THE fastest tarantula, in our experience), and have a tendency to jump.  As they mature, they become less skittish.  If startled, it will make a short sprint.  This is not a defensive tarantula, and it is doesn't have urticating hairs.
- The adults size is 3.5" - 4".
