- This New World scorpion can be found in Florida, but is primary found in the Caribbean (Bahamas, Cuba).
- This opportunistic species found under stones, under barks & inside epiphitic bromeliads in vegetation ranging from arid coastal plains to tropical lowland forests; also under barks of fence posts in savanna areas.
- The adult size for males is 40-70 mm (1.6" - 2.76"), females are 35-60 mm (1.38" - 2.36").
