- Also known as Desert Blonde, Cinnamon, Mexican Blond, Palomino, Palomino Blonde, Southwestern Mexican Blonde, Western Desert, and Tucson Blonde.
- This New World Terrestrial is from the Sonoran Desert in the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico.
- They are docile but skittish and they are slow moving and settle down quickly.
- In the wild they do live in burrows (probably to escape the high daytime and low night temperatures), but in captivity they seem to prefer to be out and about.
- They are a desert species that has evolved to need little water and lower humidity (but you should still keep a water dish with them just in case).
- A nice big chunky tarantula that is blonde with a brown abdomen covered in reddish hairs. The coloration can differ depending on the locality, with the Tucson locality having green looking femurs and brighter yellow on the carapace.
- The adult size is between 5" -6".
- The available Arizona Blonde tarantulas were wild caught, and have not molted in our care, so they are being sold as "unsexed".
